Artist Collaboration
Together we can create something truly amazing
If you are interested in being part of one our Limited Edition Artist Collaboration projects then please get in touch here: sian@pistolandsoda.co.uk
Before you email us, here’s how it works:
First things first,
You email us, or we contact you about a possible artist collaboration, we then review your work and look at the potential in printing some of your current work, or discuss whether or not you would like to design something new for reproduction under the brand Pistol & Soda, but in your own individual style that aligns with the genre of your practice.
The team at Pistol & Soda will then draw up a contract with terms and conditions regarding temporary lease copyright of your work, and/or new designs specifically made for the collaboration. We would also discuss and decide on a percentage take home for yourself as the artist. Being able to make a fair financial gain as an artist is really important to us as a brand.
After the contract has been signed and agreed on, we would then work together on selecting pieces of clothing from our manufacturers specifically to suit your work and target audience. After this has been finalised, the team will then begin ordering materials and printing the artwork ready for a limited edition run of apparel. The quantities of the items may vary at this point depending on the time of year, artwork, and other decisions noted in the contract.
After the products have been made, we will begin to sell within a limited time frame and you, the artist, will receive your profits from the collaboration. Once this is over, you are more than welcome to apply again for an artist collab, or potentially be commissioned again to design for the brand.
Finally,
If after reading this you feel like you are ready to put your artwork out there and gain financial return on one of your projects, then please email us making sure that the subject includes ‘Artist Collaboration’ and your name. We would also like to read a little introduction about yourself, see the work you would like to put forward for a collaboration, and any exhibitions you have been a part of. Please also include all of your social media handles, website (if you have one) and contact details. If you are at University studying something creative, please ensure to let us know the course and University name.
Please note, if you are a sculpture or installation artist, or someone that does not typically work in 2D - don’t be put off, we can still work together to create a 2D representation of your work. Please still email us!
